In 1986 at the age of 22, Marco Rossi was ready to take on a new challenge. He always dreamed of starting his own company and establishing himself in the construction industry. His ambition to entrepreneurship led him to start Urban Painting.
A few months later, his father Federico joined and brought a new level of skills to Urban. Federico was a true craftsman who strived for exceptional quality, never overlooking any detail. His approach to work was reflected through his craftsmanship and that is something that Urban was founded on and still values today.
Together, they collaborated to build a solid foundation from where Urban would grow
Growth was possible as ambition, craftsmanship, and commitment were never compromised - neither was the father and son relationship. Marco and Federico did not let work weaken their bond. Instead, they supported one another throughout the journey. The key to their success was communication and being open to one another’s advice - whether it was given in English or their native language, Friulan.
Their relationship ultimately set the tone for the company, with support and expertise displayed throughout the team both in the office and on site. Urban was soon recognized as a loyal partner by customers. This paved the way for new referrals and opportunities that extended all across Toronto and the GTA.
Proudly, we have been in business for 35 years and we still employ many original staff members.
